    Anti Tobacco Day

    It is common and famous saying that “Health is Wealth”. Good health is the feeling of mental, physical and social well being by any person and not only to be free of diseases.
    Every year World No tobacco Day or Anti Tobacco Day is celebrated in May all across the world to aware people about the effects of smoking, chewing tobacco and diseases caused by it. The main aim to celebrate this day in order to inform that we should keep away from drugs, smoking etc. because it cause health hazards and dangerous diseases like T.B. Cancer and Cardiac attack etc.

    Mother's Day Celebration

    You are like a boon from above,
    Like you there is no other,
    You are the only one,
    You are my mother.”
    The students of GDTSVM made their mom feel very special by their celebrating Mother’s Day. The pleasure of participation was affectionately abundant. They enjoyed many activities and games. The mothers also share their thoughts and seemed very touched by this special bonding.

    POOL PARTY CELEBRATION

    GDTSVM organized a ‘Pool Party’ for class NS to UKG on Monday, 20th May 2019. The kids jumped and romped in the water. The tiny tots played with the toys and enjoyed the fountains. They splashed water at each other. The celebratory music beats at the party made the surroundings more delightful. The event was enjoyed by our little ones and teachers thoroughly as it was a relieve from the monotonous routine and a kick off start for everyone to enjoy the summer with new zeal.

    MEHNDI COMPETITION

    Mehndi is a form of body art originating from the Indian subcontinent, in which decorative designs are created on a person's body. Mehndi is a reflection of the rich Indian culture, bringing together the knowledge of medicinal herbs with many lovely sentiments and beliefs. The result is a ceremony filled with fun and joy and the perfect precursor to the auspicious day.

    TEEJ FESTIVAL

    Teej refers to the monsoon festival observed particularly in western and northern states of India. The festival celebrates the bounty of nature, arrival of monsoon in India. It marks the beginning of the festive season with social activities, rituals and customs. To celebrate this festival and make children aware of its importance the little ones of the Pre – Primary wore colorful traditional dresses, applied Mehndi, had fun on swings and enjoyed traditional sweets. They danced to the tunes of traditional Teej songs and the whole environment was full of festivity and zeal.

    Dussehra Celebration
    05 October 2022

    Ghanshyam Das Tandon Saraswati Vidya Mandir celebrated Dussehra in school premises with great enthusiasm and energy. In the morning assembly, students spoke about the significance of the festival and how it is celebrated across the country. The students also made beautiful charts. Dandiya, a traditional dance was presented by the pre- primary students in a graceful manner. Colourful attire worn by the students was appreciated by all.
    Dussehra also known as Vijayadashami is celebrated on the 10th day of Navratri. It marks the historic victory of Lord Ram over the evil King Ravana. Effigies of the latter are burnt as a symbol of the victory of good over evil across the country.

    Gandhi Jayanti Celebration

    Gandhi Jayanti is a national festival celebrated in India to mark the birth anniversary of Mohandas aramchand Gandhi born 2 October 1869. He is famously known as Mahatma Gandhi. Mahatma means “Great Soul”. He is also known in India as the “Father of the Nation”. The day of Gandhi Jayanti is dedicated as a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. He was a great leader of the Indian Independence Movement. He launched the famous “Quit India Movement” to drive the British out of our country. Mahatma Gandhi followed the principles of Non-violence and peace through his life. This day is also observed as International Day on Non-violence. Mahatma Gandhi was a simple, but a determined person. He had mass following. On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, we all thank this great saint for securing freedom for our country.

    Inter-School Debate Competitions

    Inter-school debate competitions are an excellent platform for students to showcase their critical thinking, public speaking, and analytical skills. Such competitions are not only important for a student's academic growth but also play a significant role in their personal development.With the belief an Inter School Debate Competition was organised in school today under the banner of Sahodaya School Complex Amroha on the topic 'Chat GPT is beneficial for students', few glimpses 22 students of grade 9 to 12 from 11 schools participated in the competition.

    NASHA MUKT BHARAT

    The Nasha Mukt Bharat campaign is a nationwide initiative by the Government of India aimed at creating a drug-free India. The campaign focuses on preventing and addressing the issue of substance abuse, raising awareness about its detrimental effects on individuals and society, and providing support for those who are affected by addiction. Our school actively participated in this campaign with the goal of educating students, parents, and the community about the importance of a drug-free life. Our school organized a series of activities and events to promote the Nasha Mukt Bharat campaign.
    We conducted workshops for students across different grades to educate them about the risks associated with drug abuse. Experts and counselors were invited to speak about the physiological, psychological, and social consequences of substance abuse
    Students were encouraged to express their thoughts through creative means. We organized poster and slogan competitions on the theme of a drug-free India. This allowed students to showcase their artistic skills while reinforcing the campaign's message.
    The Nasha Mukt Bharat campaign served as a catalyst for our school to address the critical issue of substance abuse. Through a combination of awareness-building activities, educational efforts, and community engagement, we took significant steps towards fostering a drug-free environment. The campaign not only educated our students but also empowered them to make informed choices and contribute to the larger goal of a Nasha Mukt Bharat.

    KRISHAN JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATION

    Ghanshyam Das Tandon Saraswati Vidya Mandir Kailsa tiny tots celebrated Janmashtami, the joyful festival that marks the birth of lord Krishna. Students celebrated this festival with joy fun and devotion.
